One of the oldest hotels in Anuradhapura, totally renovated few years back. Spacious rooms, lobby, restaurants and everything. Nicely architecture, and well maintained pool. Great service from the lobby, great food and overall very good hotel to spend a vacation. Five minutes drive to ancient city of Anuradhapura, and you can get the transport done via the hotel too.

Worst hotel I ever stayed. Food serving is really bad, Just like for animals. Quality also same. Spoiled bananas & papayas !! In most of the times we could find sand, hair ,parts of coconut shells & egg shells in meals . Cannot recommend at all !! They just only need money, only care about money ! I am sure you will regret if you stay there
Worst hotel experience ever. In the evening there are many mosquitoes, hotel service can’t do anything about it. I kept my shoe outside once and there was a dog and bit it. The management said it’s not their problem. Overall the services they provided were really bad
We enjoyed our stay in the Rajarata Hotel Anuradhapura. It is centrally located and easy to get around to all the places one wants to visit and see in Anuradhapura. We enjoyed our time there very much. The staff was very friendly and welcoming and seemed to genuinely care. This was a great hotel at a great price. Would definitely stay again if we came back this way.
We stayed on a Sunday so not a big crowd. Food was tasty. Had the option to choose both Sri Lankan and Western Ala carte menu. No buffet because less crowd but it was filling and had a good variety. A hotel that maintains standards.
Even though this is not a super luxury 4 star hotel, it is the best 4 star hotel in Anuradhapura as I encountered. Super friendly staff,always ready to help and good food, very relaxing environment.
Would rate it 5 stars but everything was awesome except for the fact that the swimming pool was not clean.
