To experience the maximum benefit of an Ayurvedic treatment, I’m staying for the recommended two-weeks. I’m curious about Ayurveda but I’m short on time. For me, this holiday is all about balancing an Ayurvedic experience together with other activities. Ayurvedic food is delicious, but I don’t mind ‘slipping’ for a contemporary dish once in a while! I want it all… Ayurveda Skeptic – “Ayurvedic what?” Medicine? Sounds a bit hocus-pocus to me. Sure, I see the importance of a balanced life – like taking time-off and eating right. I should probably cut back on red meat and alcohol. For me, this holiday is about taking it easy. A little sightseeing and good massage never did any harm. Plus, there aren’t any dessert buffets or calorie-rich cocktails to tempt me! All rooms provide a private oceanfront balcony and a king-sized bed with natural latex mattresses. The Ayurveda restaurant features an open-kitchen and uses locally sourced, fresh produce. The salt water pool is 28°C (82°F) year-round. Amba is located on the beach.
