One of the best Turf Cricket Grounds in Sri Lanka. Suitable for the Red Ball specailly as I've played here. As I know, this is the cheapest ground among the other turf grounds in Sri Lanka. Ground is perfect as. The pitch is really good. Also this ground consists of a huge first class pavilion, turf nets and cement nets. Highly Recommended.

When I hear Bloomfield, what naturally comes into my mind is, it is the Club of Sri Lanka's first Test Captain Bandula Warnapura. Before and during his tenure as test player he was a member of this historical club. Recently modernized the face of this club which look likes a movie theatre to me. It is also the club of Roshan Mahanama & Sanath Jayasuriya as well. They start serving Liquor after 5:00 where any match on this ground will at its ending or close. As the night falls it is transforming more into a Restaurant with big flat land. They put tables near or inside the boundary to serve at the demand. Staff there are very energetic on this matter & serving.

Being situated right in the middle of Colombo it easy to locate. The ground may not be of the best standards but the cricketing programme they offer is definitely one of the best. They have great coaches to mold young cricketers into becoming top players. And the ground itself can be rented out for external events.

Good environment to practise Cricket especially since they have turfs in the middle and side nets. The management of Bloomfield should renovate the nets since they are out of order and when the ball is hit the ball goes through to the next net strip. Its a big enough cricket ground and most club maches take place here. For 4 hour net session the fee is Rs. 5,000/- (March 2020). Though the ground's grass coverage is 100% with lush green in the drought season it becomes brown and wilted only the turf if properly watered and maintained.
