Undoubtedly can called as The best place to learn Physiotherapy in Sri Lanka. These are the reasons, B.Sc Physiotherapy is a Four year degree (120 Credits) The department is under the Faculty of medicine, University of Colombo which is renowned as one of the best faculties in Asia. To qualify for B.Sc. Physiotherapy degree programme students must obtain a Z Score of 1.8 to 1.9 for A/L ' s in Science or Mathematics stream. The academic staff comprises of the best medicine and physiotherapy lectures in Sri Lanka. After completing the Introductory Basic Sciences stream students have to undergo four year clinical training programme while they are learning as undergraduates. During the clinical students are placed in Clinical settings such as National Hospital of Sri Lanka, Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children, De Zoysa Matrinity Hoapital, Ragama Teaching hospital & Rehabilitation Hospitals, et Cons- Still no measures have been taken to establish a proper postgraduate programme in Sri Lanka. No proper Salary scale in government service. If you are selected to this course, definitely you have a future But at this phase it will take at least a decade to resolve all the issues related to the field in Sri Lanka. Outside Sri Lanka, Yes..................... if you make it you can be a star.
