Hon. Senanayake, Dudley Shelton, Members Of Parliament. He was born in 19th June 1911. He was the eldest in the family with a younger brother Robert and a sister. His Father was first Prime Minister of Sri Lanka Hon. Don Stephen Senanayake ( considered as the "Father of the Nation") and his mother was Molly Dunuwila. Hon. Dudley Shelton Senanayake served as Prime Minister of Sri Lanka (Ceylon) from 1952 to 1953, in second term from 1965 to 1970, and in third term he served as Leader of the Opposition from 1960 to 1964. He died on 13th April 1973. this monument is situated at Kanatta Junction in Borella. #Letsguide #monumentmakers
