DO NOT SHOP HERE !!!!!!!!! - Total scam. Picked up on the street by a local who "Knew" a great place to buy stones, took us here ( in hindsight very foolish of us). These people sold us two blue sapphire rings in 14K white gold which turned out to be cheap heat treated stones and 7K white gold - stamped ILLEGALLY as 14K. We have contacted them several times and they are not interested, please do not let them STEAL '000's of USD from you as they did us, they made a nice holiday sickening....... I also notice that on reviews they usually ONLY respond to the "good"reviews - I suspect these are fake reviews posted by themselves.... lets see if they respond to this one.....

Nothing but cheaters and liars. I purchased a sapphire for USD3800 from this shop. They said they’ll have it mounted on a white gold ring for me. They said they will get me the government certificate. But on delivery I noticed that that was NOT the same sapphire that I paid for. When I asked for the certificate the boy said he had forgotten it and said he will post it to my address. It’s been 4 months now. Every time I call them the manager is out of his seat. Got it appraised at a local gem lab and they told me it was a very low quality stone and that it was “GLASS FILLED” I have made complaints to the local authorities through my friend in srilanka. Places like this should be shutdown by law! A very disappointing experience to end such a beautiful trip. I wish I never had stepped into that rickshaw.
BUYER BE AWARE ...... I got picked up and was taken to the store we bought 2 rings one which was 5850 us dollors and the other 2850 diamonds around it. This was stamped 14 ct white gold it turns out to be 7 ct only when i ordered it should have been 18 ct. The stone come with certiiface but i have to question why they did not give this to me. It makes me regart ever walking into there shop... Ive only just found out this as i was un-happy with the setting that was made it was not what i wanted. They gave us wrong certificates.....that dont match what we ordered. I emailed them and never got any reply back. They will call you and deliver to your hotel...but they make sure its done on your last day so there is no way to put a dispute though. I went to get this re-made they told me that it was junk ....and stone are heat treated and not natural. Just so upset....shame.
Buyer Beware! M I Gems recently cheated me on the purchase of a blue sapphire. They sold me a stone as natural and unheated, even providing a certificate to prove the gem's quality. But when I later had the sapphire examined by two professional gemologists, it turns out the stone had been heated and did not match in any way the weight or dimensions on the certificate. I have complained to M I Gems, provided all the documentation as proof, and asked to return the stone for a refund. But they have ignored me. Please be *very* careful when dealing with M I Gems!

Rip off people. They have people that pick you up from the street pretend to be from your hotel and apply heavy sales tactics .
