I bought plastic book cover packets (5 packts). Each packet should be 10 pcs included. But every packets have only 9 pcs each. Same packets I bought from samudra book shop and all packets had 10 pcs each. This sadeepa people remove 1pc from every packs and sell retail. Very dissapointed.. they are cheaters.. even one star also not worth them. Other thing is Staff also not a friendly. We have to wait for billing until their private talking finish... Not listening to the customer requirements.. what a ____cking staff there are... Higher management of sadeepa should see this matter and solve this. Because we have many other famous book shops around borella area like M.D.Gumasena, Sarasavu, Samudra... So every people will go there and ur business will be ruined.. I'm not recommended this place.... Sadeepa staff, pls go to Samudra, m.d.gunasena and see how their staff treating to the customers....

A few days back we visited Sadeepa bookshop to purchase some printed books. After selecting those books we gave Rs.5000 note to the cashier. She said she doesn't have change-money and asked us to go to some other place and change the money by ourselves. We requested her to send one of the staff members to change money because we were not familiar with the close-by shops to do this task. But she refused it. We were disappointed with the way they treat us. After that, we left the books at the cashier and purchased those books from another shop. It's an unpleasant shopping experience and time wastage.

Udeepa Piyathilake

One of the oldest bookshops in Colombo. Has a vast collection of books both for studying and reading. They have books published by their own publisher and other publishers. They have all types of stationary items. Shop open till 7.30 pm. I experienced friendly service from the books shop staff. They were really helpful in finding books I wanted. They found it fast and saved lot of my time.

I'm pretty sure the bookshop is okay, they have a printshop called Sadeepa Printshop attached with the bookshop, these people are ripping off people. It's fine if the quality of the printouts are good those are also below average. So, of anyone wants to get even more than 5 pages of printouts go to a place near a campus you'll be able to get it at a fast lesser price.

I just went there to get my report spiral bound. Friendly staff but extremely busy. Took more than 1 hour to do it. Good finish. Reasonable prices. Although they mention that they have hard binding, it wasn't available at that time.
