The central prison complex of the Sri Lanka. The prison comes under Ministry of Justice and Prison Reforms. This known as the Welikada prison and this the largest prison in the Country. Despite of the poor infrastructure the staff here provide a good service to the prisoners . Some of the buildings in this prison are built by the British Monarch under colonial era.
