Recommend this place. Price is 500 LKR for the fast factory tour. It's little bit on a rush but it's more than enough time to see how they produce black tea. After that don't go to the main road. Go inside and down to the plantation. And you will see how lovely lady are working with a trees. And you can walk thru plantations which has a quite pleasant view

If you have 2 hours left in ella for sure visit this factory. We were there on a non production day but not a problem at all. Guide took super much time to explain a d demonstrate some machines.

Interesting tour with perfect explanation. There are lots of tea fields around and handy tea shop.
Interesting view process of making ceylon tea. You can buy the best of their products in shop. Price: cca 300 rupies / 1/4 kg. First flush dust and OP are good choice. Black tea only.
Costs 500 rupies but it's worth it. Tour was very informative.
Ok visit to get away from the busy "mountain village" Ella. The guide is very excited telling about the different teas produced around the country and knows what he is talking about. The tour felt a bit rushed (30minutes for 525 rupees), including the tasting in the end where it felt like you needed to down four cups of tea in less than a minute.
