We had a room with a balcony and great view. Owners were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Good breakfast with fresh smoothies.
Located off the main strip a few minutes walk this place is a peaceful sanctuary. The rooms were clean and nice, the view is spectacular and the owners are friendly. We had dinner here also, a selection of vegetable dishes that were well prepared and presented.

I can say that Raveena's guesthouse has been the most helpful place during the covid situation, i was stuck in Ella for over 2 months without being able to move or go out, and this beautiful family took me and my partner in for the entire time with no charge! So we stayed in their luxury room with the most comfortable (real) mattress and modern bathroom, with a balcony, waking up to the most beautiful view of the fog and tops of trees, monkeys coming right there to say hello! Haha. Raveena is the best cook, she taught me to make roti, sambol, kola kenda, and shared many different curries with us along with one last big meal before we departed. The place is 10 minutes away walking from the main crossroad by a cute trail that crosses a small river so its very convenient cause you are so close to town but dont have any noise and feel rigt in the middle of nature, and on the roof you can see the stars whenever the sight of green becomes too much. We are eternally gratefull to this family, Amith, his mom and dad, and we can ensure you will feel right at home cause thats what it was for me. Hope you enjoy your stay in the best guesthouse in town!!

Take the shortcut there! This shortcut does not show up on Google maps. The bus or tuctuc will probably drop you in the center of Ella. Walk downhill, pass the busstop and walk for about 1 minute from there. On your left you'll see a sign with Raveena guesthouse. You have to enter the forrest, cross a little bridge, take some stars up and down true the forest but it's an easy and short walk (about 1km from Ella center). My review: this place is amazing. The view from the terrace is very nice and so was the room (see pictures). The room had a weird smell (from the toilet or drain?), but other than that it was very clean. The lady (who's name is Raveena) and man of the guesthouse are super friendly and caring. Their English is good enough too give some recommendations about things to do and directions on how to get around. They don't book any tours because you don't need a tour to visit Ella rock or Adam's peak. It's free and you don't need a guide. Breakfast was very nice (toast, butter, jelly, egg, tea/ coffee, 2 typical Sri Lankan pancakes with coconut, fresh smoothie). You can't eat lunch or dinner here but if you just take the stairway down you can eat at the Rockside inn guesthouse. (Less than 1 minute walk) I would really recommend this place because Raveena and her husband are very nice and it's fairly close too the center but you are surrounded by stunning nature. And it's cheap!
