This place is just a month open with a dedicated owner who cares about its guests as much as about his food. We had nice homemade tacos. The guacamole was delicious. Downstairs they have another place for Sri Lankan buffet. Prices were ok for non-local food.

Food was a nice change to Sri Lankan and mainstream western restaurants in Ella. Chicken Nachos are homemade and they came out quickly. Shrimp quesadillas were nice, although you don’t really taste the shrimp (as there were not that many inside). Overall a good experience though!

The Mexican food was delicious and the place clean and quiet, the staff is friendly, but the only problem was that it took a while to bring the food, the place was not full, the fruit juices were delicious too, especially the mango

We saw the board of this cute Mexican restaurant and after much contemplation entered it. We had been missing good Mexican food for a while and to find it in Ella of all place was naturall a big surprise. We are both vegetarians and we thoroughly enjoyed all what we ate- across our two visits to Rose Cabin. The Vegetarian Nachos and Tacos were our favourites - purely homemade, organic and sheer burst of taste in your mouth. Awesome experience!!!

Delicious authentic Mexican food. I went to this place based on other reviews and it was totally worth. The meals are inexpensive and you get a decent size portion for the price. Unfortunately the rooms are that cozy, but the food is amazing. I can recommend this place.

Authentic. Cheap. Taste Amazing. Found this gold mine while I walked down Ella-Passara road. Simply amazing authentic Sri Lankan food for just 350LKR. Where every other place charge you 600LKR. Simply perfect.

Very nice people and I loved the beef tacos, excellent meat dressing with onions. I was sitting on the balcony, it's not such a nice view and a little noisy by the road - but the food is worth it! It's a Sri Lankan lady cooking the food and she learned how to prepare Mexican food by another chef :)
