We really liked our cooking class. The host is very friendly and nice woman. Do not expect anything fancy - it’s a true village kitchen outside, with fire and all sorts of handmade walls and curtains. But that is great! Feels like you are truly on somebody’s kitchen! The dishes turned out FREAKING DELICIOUS! Sooooo good! We wished the host spoke a little better English, so that we could get more local inside. But if you want a true local experience- that’s the place to go!

Such a great experience to learn how to make Sri Lankan curries, we made 7 curries and had them with rice and poppadoms! All the ingredients are explained while cooking and the dishes were so tasty!! Also so cool to see how they make home made coconut milk! We did this while staying at the horizon roof inn guest house, our hosts were so lovely and it’s awesome to cook in a Sri Lankan kitchen :) and as often in Sri Lanka there is so much food you won’t go hungry!! Thank you so much ️

Great experience. We paid 1500lkr per person...it was just myself and my partner. The lady who runs it was so lovely and has the cutest 1 year old daughter. The class felt very personal and everything was explained well, especially regarding the ingredients. We made 6 curries, popadums, coconut sambul and ate it with rice at the end of the class. The food was amazing, definitely some of the best we have had in Sri Lanka. Although I probably won't be able to replicate this great meal, its awesome to discover which flavours and spices are used in Sri Lankan cooking. Thanks again.
