There is most of the specialities, so most referrals come from other part of the Sri Lanka. It has modern Radiological and surgical facilities. Faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna is attached to this hospital for the practice.

It provides government's free health care service. Leading government hospital in Jaffna district. OPD is very crowded most of times Situated in the middle town of Jaffna.. Main entrance is in the Hospital road. But there is an another entrance from Power house road and it is the easiest access to the morgue and some few other wards
This hospital located in middle of Jaffna main city. Anyone can get many health services from this hospital.
Not the best service! Medical facilities are good, but behavior of the staff are poor when compared to Colombo for example. Security guards are not friendly.
I underwent a surgery by Dr. Sharma,Consutant surgeon and Anaesthetised by Dr. Premakrishna,consultant Anaesthetist. Both surgical Team and Anaesthetic team were very professional. Ward staff and threatre staff are very supportive and caring. It's ward 29.
Excellent service 24 hours
This is ENT clinic in jaffna teaching hospital.today i got number 1 as a new patient. The service doctors are providing is very acceptable but the way of managing the patient is very disappointing. I was checked by doctor and adviced to scedule a date for my surgery...after meeting doctor im sitting for nearly 2 hours. There should be a proper way to handle the patient who came early. I talked to the nurses they are saying after doctor inspecting all the patient only i could be able to get the date.i came 6.30 in the morning and now it is 10am nearly. This kind of poor management make people to go for private hospital. People who have money could move to private but what about others. Even though facilities and doctor services are far good patient management is very poor. Management should device a good patient management plans considering the fact all have works to do oyher than maintaining their health
The best Government Teaching Hospital in the heart of Jaffna managed by best doctors produced by Sri Lanka Uuniversitie. I even had my retina surgery in 2016 in this hospital and it was 100% successful. I am very grateful to the surgeon who did the wonderful surgery. Now I enjoy seeing light and its wonders.
