It is very calm and peaceful place to visit and also situated behind tha lagoon.There are 30 people engaged with the batticaloa project and working to protect ancient heritage and also promote tourism industry. Moreover according to the recordings we can see the longest stone bridge of the sri lanka and four major archaeological monuments with 34 ancient buildings near the kayankerni beach. Bio diversity value is the other main factor of this place and there are various beautiful plants, herbs, birds, insects and many kinds of flowers and the animals... I would like to highly recommended this place and don't hesitate to visit even at once when you are coming to batticaloa.
