Very good bank in the area
I went to Commercial Bank, Maharagama on a weekday @ 9.00 a.m. to make a remittance for my daughter and rush to work asap. The staff was very helpful but the office assistant had a very bad attitude. The officer was searching for a student file, was unable to find it and told the office assistant to find it. I was watching this drama for 20 minutes, that person was too busy checking his medicine in the bag one by one, counting cash in his wallet and arranging documents on his table without noticing the paper that the officer gave to find the student file. Then I went to the Asst. Manager and complained about the office assistant. Until the Asst. Manager walked to his table and asked about the student file he didn’t want to move from his seat. I wasted more than 40 mnts of my time because of this minor staff’s attitude which I don’t want to tolerate for any reason.
A good bank. The customer service is good. A little bit time consuming since the number of customers are always high. It is a little bit hazardous when it comes to parking your vehicle. Overall, always a good bank to work with compared to other banks.
When sending money overseas, this is the bank to recommend. Officers at that department were really nice and had can do attitude. Place is much crowded though.

A customer applied for a loan of over Rs.13M to buy my property in Maharagama. When all confirmed, by the legal department and the branch he advised me to come and sign the Deed. I flew from overseas. The exiting caviet I had entered was cancelled a with a legal cost to me. More and more documents needed. After visiting the branch (a seller normally does not need to do) several times I told the manager I wanted about two minutes to speak to him about certain issues and waited over 40 minutes outside the cubicle.The manager was very morose.A smile has never seen his face.May be he was far and far above all customers.Surely in my life over three decades in banking ,mostly over the manager's grade , I have never seen such a dead body in a bank cubicle.Ever! The property was sold to a different party. The branch lost the loan, which would have easily paid this moron's monthly pay.I deposited the entire money in a different bank. Why should I ever step into a branch like this.Can I ever recommend this Bank to a third party? As one customer has reviewed elsewhere , why should I go into the kingdoms of emulating Bill gates? I must finally thank two employees in the loan department. Nice two.Just apply for a transfer for your future. K.A.B. from New Zealand.
Very bad coustomer service because peoples are waiting in the "Q" more than 30mints but assistant are walking around not helping and 5 counters only active 2 counters to coustomers. So even though cant give any star for maharagama commercial bank branch.... .....
