Only public ground near Maharagama city. Large enough to play softball cricket. They are constructing fences to stop balls going out. The main problem it is hired on and off for functions, then other people cannot use the ground. About 7 years ago lot of parents brought small kids to run around in the weekend. Butt now I see no one coming. Reason they were turned back because ground is occupied. Once they come prepaid and turned back they rally visit again. Health wise it's a real shame. Children living in compact houses don't have space to run around. Good for private hospitals, creating ill-healthy society. More cost for government health. Public should be aware of this.
Nice place. Not much grass in the surface and that's a major problem, few stones here & there. There's a big canel around the ground so if you are planning to play cricket please bring more balls. There's a water tap in a corner & few tea shops. Parking is there too.

Good place to rest in Nawinna area. it's a public play ground all are free to access.. many people go there to exercise. washroom is okay not good quality.. Normaly works two security officers one of them is not polite at all..
Need more attention to maintain, security people are very helpful
