I could not able to book a sleeper from Mannar Station, because station master said that computer is not working. Station is newly built one.
After read a lot of history’s about buy “sleeping cabin” in Sri Lanka we went today to mannar rail station ready to buy 2nd or 3 class , but somehow we found available ticket for sleeping cabin , the price is 800 Rupies per person so it’s around 4 ,the train leave at 22:00 and arrives 6:00 in Colombo fort , they guy how sold us the ticket speaks good English and works very well ( north of Sri Lanka is amazing.( editing ) the Train has no beds to sleep , so you are paying 800 just for reserved sits , not worth .
Newly built railway station. Two trains available for each way. Day and night. One bad thing is it's situated 850m far away from Mannar town and no proper transportation method to reach town. Sometimes there are few Tuk Tuks but not always.
When will Sri Lanka airport be opened for tourism. I miss you Sri Lanka
