Friends suggested I make a visit to Vyanni in the house with the big garden down a lane near the beach in Matara. Glad they did! I love textiles and color and the handloom treasures at Vyanni are beautifully finished and very sophisticated in their color palette. Here are scarves, throws, table cloths, towels, etc. that will make perfect gifts for men and women alike. A personal favorite are the large throws in silver and black that are both super-elegant and just the right weight as a cover for an afternoon nap or to snuggle with on the sofa in front of the TV.
Awe inspiring hand loomed fabrics to suit any taste bud. The colors are simply amazing and the quality of workmanship perfect! If you wish to take a truly original item as a gift or for your own use this is the place to shop at! The most original product in Sri Lanka!

This shop was recommended by friends as we were looking for some fabrics to decorate our home. So glad we went. The variety in the shop was overwhelming and made it difficult to select. There are so many different qualities and colours available. From curtains to table runners, pillow cases to scarfs, or handloomed cotton by the meter to realise your own project. We are fully satisfied with our purchase and can recommend this shop to anyone looking for something special and unique.
Recently, I visited Vyanni together with a friend. Since our driver chose the wrong way, we arrived there just ten minutes before closing time on a Saturday evening. Olga and Krishan were so lovely and kept their shop open for us, showed us all their fabrics, and took their time to let us do our shopping. Both of us found some wonderful fabrics for home decorating and tailor-made clothes. Vyanni’s material is of the highest quality, and the colours and designs are fabulous. It was hard for us to make a choice from all those superb items :-). This place is an absolute „must have“ when you are visiting the South coast of Sri Lanka! When I was back home, my tailor told me one of the fabrics I had bought was not enough for the trousers I wanted to have. So I contacted Vyanni by mail and asked for a second piece of this fabric in beautiful green shadings. Olga replied within less than 12 hours, informed me that I could get a second piece and about shipping it to Germany. Instantly, I transferred the money and sent a screenshot of the transfer. The next morning, I had a confirmation mail that my order had already been shipped. I have never encountered a prompter and better service and can only give the highest recommendation for this 5-star shopping experience. Thank you so much, Olga and Krishan! Прекрасные ткани: цветовая гамма, 100% хлопок, не линяют при стирке. Ткани ткутся вручную на станках, окрашивание тоже происходит вручную. Результат-превосходный. Эти ткани используют в качестве домашнего текстиля ( шторы, постельное белье, подушки), но они настолько превосходны, что я решила сшить что-то из одежды. Купила много разных по фактуре и цветам, теперь дело за вдохновением. Рекомендую эти потрясающие ткани ручной работы, цена которых должна быть гораздо выше той, по которой их продает владелец этой мини-фабрики. Удачи и процветания этому небольшому, но такому красивому и качественному бизнесу!
