Established in 2015, VIRCO International (PVT) Ltd. is a company based in the tropical island of Sri Lanka that focuses exclusively on developing world-class organic products from Sri Lankan organic harvests. Virco was founded by Directors: Dinesh Kodithuwakku and Nipuna Illangarathne as a concept of introducing and providing a range of valuable tropical healthy food products to the world wide market while distributing the return from the business back to the rural community. A dash of Virco History The Virco story begins from a conventional rice processing company in 1950's Stated as mawathagama rice mill under the management of Mr. Piayadasa. After the 1990 the business was handed over to the immediate family members and in the year of 2010 Nipuna Illangarathne and Dinesh Kodithuwakku gave birth to a new business, a factory manufacturing virgin coconut oil. Today the from virgin coconut oil the business had expanded to a range of VCO by-products, a range of VCO added herbal cosmetics, herbal teas, kithul syrup and jaggery to name a few.
