Stayed at sunshine resort recently for two nights. Because Mirissa didn't have the beach vibe that I was looking for I decided to go to a new place in Unawatuna instead of staying an additional third night. That is no dig on Sunshine Resort. Their breakfast was fantastic and their kindness was refreshing after going to some below average places in Sri Lanka. In regards to the room, it is nothing special. Basic bed, ceiling fan, air conditioner and hot water available. Wifi isn't acceptable but they do have a lot of customers and they're only using one router. Perhaps this could be changed! Incredibly close to the beach so you can go down 30m and get yourself a beer and a meal while you're at it!

The best thing about the place is the food served by the restaurant, super authentic chinese cuisine. The quality of the room is just alright. Tap water has a weird smell from time to time.
