Seem to respect the animals. Will stay a reasonable distance from them and then turn the engine off as not to disturb/stress them out. Unlike many other boats who just chase full speed after the whales.
Best company to go with for whale watching. We didn't find whales the first time and they offered to take us for free the next day. Shantha has great knowledge of the ocean and the whales.
Very nice and pleasant experience. We have been told to meet at 6:30 AM cause at 7 Am the ship will be leaving from the harbour - exactly what happened. We actually have left even a bit earlier. Also the ship was not full, so we could move and switch places in order to get best views. We have managed to see 1 turtle (which actually got hidden very fast) and at least 7 whales (or maybe 1 or 2 multiple times). In 2 of the situations we were really close, but not too close to hurt them (like other boats were too close in similar situations). During all this time, we've been offered water, cakes, sandwiches and fruits. The team was also nice to us, so I do recommend going out with the Horizon team.
