Best experience ever. Staff is amazing and very helpful. As a first time diver I felt safe and well taken care of with their knowledge and short but thorough training. Amazing time guys .... hats off to the team....

Great Profesional Diving Center with superb dive masters. We visited Pigeon Island, where our doughters tried first diving, we had some real dives and in the end saw some whales and many dolphins. On top of this they provide free pick up and drop of by tuk tuk.

I can only describe our experience as awful... all due to the low professionalism of the instructor (a young boy who came from South Africa to spend a few weeks as an instructor in the diving center) We dive in early September together with another couple and it seemed that what the instructor least wanted was to be there. There are many more things but the three main reasons: >Safety is a basic principle of diving, and before the immersion we asked a series of questions to have everything under control. Well, he responded totally without interest and with long faces, until, at one point, he told my friend with great arrogance: "Are you going to ask any more questions?" >Camaraderie between the instructor and the ship's skipper is a must, but in this case, it didn't seem... He had a scuffle with the boat's master for the change of his bottle before the second dive. He was sure he was totally right and pretended not to listen to the master (who, on top of that, was right). Again, great arrogance. >The instructor must adapt to the characteristics of the group, because he is supposed to be the expert: after the first dive, he scolded us because he said he could not make big changes of direction or go faster sometimes, and that we were giving him big problems. He said that his fins were very short in front of ours and that we should adapt to him...what was really difficult given the material we had.... You should be more careful with whom you hire since the instructor is the key element of recreational diving and a bad choice can completely ruin the experience.

Good equipment, wonderful instructors, amazing people! Great place to increase your skills and just have fun dives! Unfortunately only the weather can't always be so cute as this place)))

Great staff. Unfortunately the visibility was bad both days we were in town. The team, however, made it a smooth process. The first day they sent a diver out to check the visibility and let us know that there was only 1m of visibility. They then recommended that we cancel the dive so that we wouldn't waste our money. Day 2 - they took us to pigeon island to try our luck. Visibility was also bad. They ended up cancelling the second dive and we went snorkeling instead. The shop was nice about it and only charged us half the price of one dive since the visibility was so bad.

Diving in Sri Lanka is our passion! Thats why it's opened our first Diving Centre 1999 at the beautiful Unawatuna Bay at the south coast of Sri Lanka and our second Diving Centre in 2010 at the north east coast of Sri Lanka in Nilaveli, 12 km north of Trincomalee. Because of this matter we can practice Scuba Diving at the south and north east cost of Sri Lanka in Nilaveli and Unawatuna the whole year round. This is the official page of NILAVELI DIVING CENTRE, PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Resort, and Sri Lanka's premier PADI Dive Resort, S-23912, and your gateway to the excitement and adventure of the underwater world! The Dive Centre is open every year from 15. March to 15. November from 8 am to 7 pm. The rest of the year, the month of the north east monsoon, with rough sea, high waves and bad visibility, we are operating at our UNAWATUNA DIVING CENTRE, PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Resort at the south of Sri Lanka, 5 km south of Galle, at the Unawatuna beach under good diving conditions. The NILAVELI DIVING CENTRE is a fully authorized PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Resort. It offers the perfect holiday under and above water. The Diving School is located around 12 km north of the city of Trincomalee, directly at the beautiful Nilaveli Beach, opposite of the famous Pigeon Islands, at the property of the HIGH PARK HOTEL. You can follow our road sign boards, Holidays & Diving in Sri Lanka, NILAVELI DIVING CENTRE, from Trincomalee to Nilaveli. The Nilaveli Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches of Sri Lanka. The white sandy beach is wide and long stretched. Here you will find our Dive Centre. Our NILAVELI DIVE CENTRE is PADI Green star awarded and also PADI Award Winner 2016 & 2017 for "Outstanding Contribution to the Diving Industry". It is currently the number 1 with the most PADI certifications in Sri Lanka. The NILAVELI DIVING CENTRE is 100% Project Aware and donate monthly 250 AUD to protect the marine environment in our oceans.
