Feels just like a bunch of friends living together chilling out and going for adventures in and around Nurawa Eliya, towels cost 200 rupees, and it's worth it, great common areas with games to play or instruments to try, beautiful art everywhere with cool graffiti, at night guest gather around a camp fire in the yard jamming, beds are small though but bathrooms are amazingly spacious, could get a bit loud at night, but no doubt a good place for social interaction
Had a great time while staying at the Laughing Leopard. The host helps you out with every question you might have and he knows a lot from the surrounding area. This to make sure that you have enough to do during your stay. Thanks guys, hopefully we meet again!
Very nice hostel. The owner is very down to earth and is a great help in planning some day trips and activities. The breakfast is included and it's really nice. There was ALWAYS hot water, which is very hard to come by at many hostels, but I never once had to take a cold shower. The place is very clean, and therr are two super cute dogs plus the puppies who live there. Anyways, overall a great hostel to stay at. I originally only came for a couple days but ended up staying a week because of the amazing atmosphere at the hostel.
I visited them some time ago. I originally wanted to stay for one night, but I ended up staying 3 days there, met so many amazing people. Delicious breakfasts, Nice ambience, Chatting around the fire with beers, Comfortable beds, Nice place to share experience with people from all over the world. I really enjoyed my stay there. And decided next time I'll choose a hostel, instead of hotels on my travel.
