Found the Moonplains to be quite an experience. Beautiful landscape and awesome photography opportunities. The Safari is a must go for all Nuwara Eli Visitors

A great location to visit. If you are going, try to be at the ticket counter by 8am. There is a safari jeep journey up the mountain, which is roughly 3.7kms. The place gets crowded on holidays (however, i believe its not the case on weekdays) and there will be a waiting line for jeeps. There are around 10 jeeps and the ticketing and jeep allocation is very methodically done. A jeep costs around LKR 2000/ and the driver acts as the guide too. He will explain the site and viwe nicely. The track runs through a Govt. Agricultural estate and you can actually buy fresh vegetables from there itself. Please do go and see this beautiful place. The view is mind blowing. Please don't be a typical Lankan and litter the place .
Awesome place. You have to rent their vehicle for Rs.2000. There are 7 people can transport on one time. There is 360 view point on top of the plains.
During our Nuwara Eliya trip, we went on this Jeep Safari in Moon Plains. It was a decent outing. They take us through a rock street to a top of a slope. On this excursion, you will want to see the initial 9 most elevated Mountains in Sri Lanka. When you arrive at the top you will see the 07 Mountains, minimal World's End and Welimada Valley (Two peaks, you will see on your way to the top). As of late, they have begun an Agri farm where you can perceive how vegetables are developing.
Greeny scenery , you have to drive with jeeps, you can see cows and buffaloes. Finally you arrive to aa view point which has 360 viewing area.
Amazing 360' view. You can see 9 out of top 10 highest mountains in Sri Lanka, at the top. You need to take a safari to the top. There is an Agro farm at the entrance. You can visit there after the safari to the moon plains. At the agro farm, you can see every vegetable which is grown in Nuwara Eliya.
Hiking to a top through a vegetable farm. Private vehicles not allowed , had to hire safari vehicle cost of Rs.2000. 360 view , can sea lot of mountain peaks of Sri lanka.
Absolutely stunning place. Morning is the best time to watch all the mountains around. (between 7-9 am). A must to visit place. The view is breathtaking and the journey on safari jeeps are very joyful.
