Hotel itself is very good. Room was clean and fresh. AC, hot water. Pool was clean. Breakfast was tasty, but watch out for the birds. The view is good mainly cause you do not see elephants close. When you come close you can see the chains and cruel mahouts who shout at elephants and poke them in the eyes and ears with a metal stick. There are posters saying that it is ok to treat semi-wild Male elephants this way, but I still feel bad about it. I would not come back there.

View is extraordinary. U will not get a better view like this of the elephant orphanage bathing river. You can enjoy the river view from the pool edge.Hotel rooms are OK. Need improvement in cleaning. Road to the hotel is narrow so be mindful about the vehicle type.

The location of this hotel and the views are just stunning. One of the most beautiful surroundings ever. I can highly recommend booking the room with the river view, we could admire bathing elephants. We also received a warm welcoming and a fresh orange juice. As for the restaurant food, it was ok but I would suggest the restaurant managers to do it more Sri Lankan style, there was too much European things for my taste. Oh, almost forgot to mention that we had a full body oil massage and it was a fantastic experience, I enjoyed every second. I’m very happy with the stay.
