Our stay at rock lake has been heaven. An easy and accessible base from which to explore sigiriya and the surrounding area! The family are amazing, going out of their way to accomodate us and giving loads of information on sigiriya and the surroundings. They offer tea, coffee and even snacks and fruit whenever requested. The rooms are spacious and clean and the shower is hot or cold, the veranda where our delicious breakfasts and dinners were served was delightful and looks out onto beautiful tropical scenery. When we were having trouble finding a reliable safari tour to kaudulla national park our host suggested his brothers son as driver. Keeping it in the family turned out to be the best choice as our driver was excellent, very proffessional and very safe. He was sure to keep us at a safe distance from the elephants while still getting an amazing view. This turned out to be important as some of the other jeeps were getting too close and did get charged by angry bull elephants, an experience we were glad to miss!! Rock Lake is aptly named as it is minutes away from a glorious lake that is swimable and also nice for a morning or evening stroll, and is also a short walk from town and restaurants and very close to sigiriya rock itself!

雖然路有點小有點難找 但離獅子岩非常近 房間設備乾淨舒服有冷氣 民宿主人親切不坑人 女主人非常會做菜 是我在這充滿咖喱的國度裡 吃到最好吃的三餐 雙人套房一晚房價大概台幣700 如果有人想去獅子岩的話 我強力推薦這一間home stay 恐攻對斯里蘭卡的影響非常大 妹妹三年前來獅子岩的時候 到處都是觀光客 找不到房間連吃飯的位子都很少 （重點是獅子岩附近餐廳很難吃） 但是我們這次去 街上空空蕩蕩的 一眼看過去的非當地人大概是10人左右 所以home stay的主人跟我們說 他們家只有兩間房間 以前每天都有生意 現在一個禮拜有三天就很開心了 不免思考了一些嚴肅點的問題
