Their yacht is superb and we experienced a awesome sea cruise with sail lanka... V friendly staff who enhance the cruising experience. We did a 2hr sunset cruise and strongly recommend this to tourists who wish to try out something different.
We had such a wonderful time with Sail Lanka on a shared morning whale watching tour. What I most admired was the fact they were considerate when near the whales. The engine was turned off and they didn’t speed after them like a few other boats did when they were spotted. We spent a few hours finding and watching whales (Orca and Blue whales) then returned to a private beach for some swimming and lunch. The boat was clean and comfortable for the 16 or so people on board, the food was great and the crew were lovely. Quite a few people got sea sick though, well worth taking anti-nausea tablets!
After a fully packed week travelling around center and southern Sri Lanka, we enjoyed the last three days on catamaran "Jade". The crew could not have been better: Captain Samitha, chef Ranjith, lifeguard Viduranga and crew assistant Janaka took care of all our needs and made us feel welcome from the very first moment. Thanks to them we got very close to a blu whale (what an emotion!), numerous pilot whales and dolphins. The delicious meals were freshly prepared by Ranjith, our boys could fish with the crew, result of which was served for lunch. The catamaran was spacious and comfortable; with its 4 cabins it was perfect for our group of 8. We absolutely do recommend Sail Lanka Charter! Thank you, "Jade"-Crew!!!
It's a lot of fun. Worth the moolah. Definitely try it out.
Amazing crew, very caring, personal attention is given to everyone. Full time is given to enjoy. Team was with us for Snorkeling. I will come to Sri lanka again to do Sail Lanka Cruises. Very happy.
Overall a great experience to enjoy the whale watching. Very nice staff and tasty food.
