The place is located on a really nice beach area. Off the main road and directly on the beach, it's a great place to do your diving course. Super quick reply while contacting them by email, knowledgable staff and quality equipment. Did our PADI open water course there and paid 350 USD each (2 people). Loads of really cute pupps around.

Ok. So many things to write here. At first glance this looks like a normal dive center without any drinking water, no Wi-Fi, rugged equipment, no separate changing rooms and small classrooms. BUT all that is way more than compensated by the attitude of the instructors. Praveen, the life of Poseidon, has been in the business for 13 years and is very professional. I did my AOWD certification here. My first dive during the course was after a gap of 2 years but it was quite well managed by the instructor. Usually the advance course is wrapped up in 2 days but on my request the last deep dive at Swami Rock was done on the 3rd day. Really appreciate that. My brother did the OWD and the instructor Lala was quite supportive by the end. Clean toilet, happy crew, 4 boats, beach, free coconut (watch out!!). 5 star experience.

I found Poseidon Diving Center online, as many other diving schools. I did several requests and finally decided to do our PADI open water at Poseidon. We were staying in Nilaveli and Poseidon kindly offered to pick us up and drop us off every day. It was almost 1h driving per day and it really made our lives easier. The offer was also competitive especially if you are two or more people. We did our diving classes with Marc, a very professional instructor. Nevertheless, the entire team was very nice and helpful to us. During the dives, there were always sweets around, to give us some energy. We did not feel like being in a diving school, we felt like being in a small family. We really recommend Poseidon Diving Center. I have performed many dives around the world but I can say that here the experience was different. We were not many divers so there was absolutely no chaos when going for the dives. Also, I did not feel the rush of getting things quickly and partially. I felt safe ALL the time! Thanks Poseidon, thanks Marc

AOW diver, went for two fun dives around pigeon island. Dive master had a newly qualified open water diver on the dive, and didn't seem to know basic safety guidelines. Added the weight belt to diver before fins, and our ascent wasn't done together as a three. The two dives were interesting, but nothing special. Dive master didn't seem enthusiastic about finding different fish, and seemed to focus solely on clownfish. We then had a hour break, where we could snorkel on pigeon island. Within ten minutes, I found sharks, squid, and GTs. I'd advise not diving around pigeon island, and simply snorkle, as we only really were shown some coral on our dive. Had a great day, but safety should be priority with new divers. - Another review seems to express the same experience.

My first time to Trinco and first time ever diving. I was so freaked out at first, but Praveen took his time answering every question and explaining what to do in every scenario I came up with (there were a lot). The instructions, safety measures, and skill circuit was so thorough, that I felt like I already did the dive. My favourite thing about poseidon other than their expertise was how much they were concerned about the environment; telling us exactly what not to do and how we can play our part preserving the corals. The team was insanely nice and professional. Very calming tone of voice, and checking on me the entire time. I loved every bit of it. I'd honestly recommend Poseidon, and also Trinco just for the beach! I didn't get thrown about with waves!!!! Just go here. Just go.

I went snorkling to Pigeon Island with them for way cheaper than all the other companies and the next day on two dives, also very cheap compared to the other dive centers in town! The dives were super relaxed and beautiful, the dive master had a lot of experience and the overall atmosphere was very positive! Can fully recommend it!
