While I was out someone within the hotel accessed my room, stealing 500 Canadian dollars from inside the locked safe. I count my travel money always before locking it. Many other places around, do not stay here.

My worst experience in 25 years of traveling ! Staff friendly but dishonest manager. He is counting extra for everything even for the AC. Don’t ask him to wash your clothes he will count 2 items for your socks, any pretext is good enough to raise the price. As you can guess I had a very bad experience there, cheapest hotels during my month in Sri Lanka were much more valuable.

OVERALL FEELING : manager very upsetting, annoying and dishonest, WiFi very poor, noisy place with barking dogs, in the end expensive because everything is optional even the basics (AC 5 per day). IN DETAILS Besides being expensive for the area, be aware that everything in this place is extra, even the air conditioner (5 per day). That’s the 1st time in Sri Lanka we’ve been asked to pay for AC. Even in the cheapest hostels we went to, it was included. When we left the hotel for a 1,5 days trip, he asked us to pay for the room even if we weren’t here. He didn’t even clean the room while we were away. Our friends traveling with us were over billed 10 000 roupies at the last minute he changed the price we didn’t understand why. And of course, WiFi doesn’t work... CONCLUSION It ruined my holidays, I was so desapointed to have to stay one week in this place. As I said before, I went to another place and I still had to pay my room, even if I wasn’t there, no negociation possible, they never let me check out. So expensive for the offer...
A clean hotel in a rather calm place, just 5min by tuk tuk to the weligama bay if you are interested in learning how to surf. The 90min massage was good. A helpful and friendly owner that arranged some activities (surfing, whale watching) for us. The bed had a mosquito net. Unfortunately, the room was small and dark as the only window does not have a mosquito net or a glass so we had to keep the shutters closed all the time. Hence we also could not let fresh air in and had to use the A/C. It turned out that we had to pay 10 USD per day extra for using A/C and we were not informed about that in advance!!! (And the room was already quite expensive) The food was good but quite pricey. The breakfast was simple but good with a big portion of fruits. We did not get a Sri lankan breakfast. It did not pay off to book it in advance as on the arrival day the property was much cheaper on booking. All in all, a good place to stay if you do not overpay for it.

חוויה נעימה .. מארח מדהים חדרים ברמה גבוהה . נקי ,טעים. קרוב לחוף שקט ויפה. ממליצים בחום.
