Birder’s Paradise. We had a wonderful 5 night stay with Chamin and his family at this lovely homestay. We went on a Safari and Chamin was a so knowledgeable about all the birds we saw. While we were there, Chamin had a birthday and they included us in his birthday breakfast and then in the afternoon, took us to a very old temple, Bandagiriya, built around 200 BC. Incredible views from the Stupa. Then we went for a picnic by the lake. Piyumi his wife cooked delicious meals and their 5 month old son Chenal was very sweet. Highly recommend this place.
Quiet and relaxing nicely done cottage located at a scenic location bordering Bundala lagoon. Well managed by very pleasant and helpful family. Not to forget their tasty food too.
Absolutely this is a wonderful hotel in great location and view is also excellent. It was good stay. The food was excellent and the staff superb. If I am lucky enough to have a visit to Bundala Flamingo Cottage. Hotel rooms are very comfortable. It was very good service and excellent dining too. So I would always suggest to others about that place get a great experience with safari. Its nice location and lovely area in Sri Lanka. It was nice to get an opportunity to simply have a real vacation. Actually I think it is a wonderful mini vacation in my life.
Nice clean place. Piyumi, the lady owner always there to look after the guests needs. Its a nice place for bird waching too.
Marvelous lake view residential suite and there are thousands birds on the lake every time. Recommend for bird watching and wildlife photographers and camping. Owner has clear idea about the birds, area and he helped lot to visit places near by.
Wonderful people. We had excellent freshly cooked food( fresh tilapia BBQ from the lake) We could start the Safari directly from the cottage, with our host, who showed us lots of animals, with bis photographers eyes. Wifi worked perfectly, only the air condition could be improved. We would come again, for sure.
Visited there recently with our staffand the place was super good. And person manage the place is super cool. Foods were awesome and had cooked with perfection. Recommend the place to anyone who suppose to have a bundala safari !!
