Beautiful rooftop sushi bar. Have a great menu with both authentic and fusion japanese food. Pretty much can recommend everything on the menu. Great place for date night - ask for the pool side private dining area. Serves alcohol and can smoke as the main area is outdoors.

Zen is probably one of the best Japanese restaurants I visited in Sri Lanka. The food was definitely better than most but the ambience and service are outstanding. The server is knowledgeable and friendly. He recommended the Fire Roll and it was delicious. I really enjoyed their interpretation on the rolls-- not very Japanese, but very Sri Lankan and I loved them. For dessert, I had the coconut crumble ice cream and it was super satisfying. I would definitely come back again.
Really good place. Best sushi in colombo. Their Pork katsu don is to die for. 10/10, would recommend and visit again.
Excellent range of Japanese dishes and was soo in love with their layout which was an excellent location for a romantic candle light dinner. The staff members were very friendly and very helpful and the food was delicious and mouthwatering. Absolutely loved the experience!!
A really nice place to hangout with friends and have meals. It is also good for couples to go out as well. Situated in Rosmead Place. Serves delicious Japanese dishes as well as other dishes. Pasta dishes are really nice. Liquor is also available. Car parking facilities are available. Has a calm environment.
Called in and made a booking today, 10min beforehand. The receptionist confirmed they had availability so we went to Zen, only to be turned away at the door by the same receptionist that accepted the reservation. Apparently they were full booked, no idea why they accepted the booking in the first place. Completely unprofessional. My family and I were very much looking forward to trying the food here since we frequently used to go to Nihonbashi and love Japanese food. Very unfortunate and first time experiencing something like this.
Zen is a breath of fresh air in Colombo’s whole restaurant scene. While the food is quite top notch the sell out point of this restaurant is the amazing ambiance this place has especially considering the fact that it is located in the heart of Colombo!
Cosy ambience and great food really loved the restaurant..... The perfect interior deco, awesome view, food was worth the price and great service. There is plenty of space for car park and for a quiet and calm evening this is the best place. I just loved the place, will definitely visit back....️
