We visited Cafe Secret Alley after hearing nothing but praise about the place but first impressions were quite disappointing. Most of the items displayed on the menu such as burgers weren't available and we had to settle for pasta (chicken and mushroom). The drinks (we settled for pineapple smoothies) took like 15 minutes to arrive and were served in very small margarita jars. The food took over 30 minutes to arrive, and this was on a day where only two other patrons were present. The food was mediocre, and turned out to be just simple pasta and cheese with pieces of chicken/mushrooms. Even though the food took over 30 minutes to arrive as mentioned above, it somehow felt rushed. The drinks on the other hand did not feel at all worthy for the price paid. They have also removed credit/debit card payment methods (for the time being, as we were informed) so make sure you're prepared to pay by cash. I hope they step up their game and deliver a postive experience to their customers in the future.

A great little hidden gem in Kandy centre! This is an ideal place to head to for breakfast or lunch. Especially if you're vegan / vegetarian. A good selection of fresh, healthy, tasty options available. We had 2 different smoothie bowls which were both REALLY good and very filling. Plus we tried the Bliss Bowl which was packed full of good healthy ingredients and tasted great! The food prices here are really good and a bit less than other similar places we tried. However the drinks were slightly more expensive. So I guess it balances out in the end. But still the final bill is great value for money considering the quality! We would highly recommend a visit.
A great hidden place in Kandy!!!Not very crowded and a very calm place.Food is also great! Chicken pasta is highly recommended.
Great place to enjoy the freedom with some foods.. Friendly staff delicious meals..
Nice atmosphere Super friendly staff I loved the food and drinks as well.
The place has a very tropical vibe, with vibrant colours and pineapples as deco. Not overly pricey and they have a really interesting beverage selection. We tried the latte, the secret special and the chocolate biscuit shake. The best was the chocolate biscuit shake, the latte was nothing to complain about. The secret special is chilled coffee with coconut milk and cinnamon powder, the concept is very interesting and you get a great taste of cinnamon but it wasn't coconutty enough for my liking. Would definitely visit again.
Nice little hidden cafe. Good selection of brunch / western dishes. Pretty decent coffee. Tea was served as a Lipton tea bag which is pretty disappointing seen as we’re in tea country. Lovely staff. Good service.
A small lof squeezing in a strange valley, but give some hours to have a salad and juice there, you will love the place.
