Nice and well organized place. I think this is the only place that we can get an idea about the evolution of the postal service in Sri Lanka. The museum contains several sections. Uniforms of the postman, how that changed along with the time are displayed at the very beginning. We can see different machines, telephones , different instruments used in the past to write messages. Also, there is a collection of different stamps and different envelopes in the upstairs. Different seals are also displayed. People who visit that museum can write their thoughts is the given book at the end of the tour.

Great place for stamp collectors. Also houses a museum on postal services of Sri Lanka. Definitely worth a visit for all the school children.
A great place. They have a philatelic society for stamp collectors. Anyone can join it.
very important place to stamp lovers
Very friendly staff and they are always there to assist the customers. They are doing a great job not only by selling stamps and other philatelic items on the counter but also sending the standing orders frequently. Now they have branches across the country and using a centralized IT application to provide the best service they can. Thank you Philatelic Bureau and keep up the good work!
There is a Postage Museum located at this building the ticket is Rs,20. A variety of displays available depicting the History of Postal Service Sri Lanka as well as a variety of Stamps. There is also a store where you can purchase Stamps and First Day covers. there are also booklets available which have descriptions about stamps. The place is less crowded on weekdays
