Nice and cool place to visit. Location marked in google maps is accurate. They allow visitors to pet the donkeys. Also the orphanage care them very well. A visit to this place changes ones mindset on how we thought about donkeys. Likewise we could have them as pets too. Nice place to have an evening too. They provide the location to have a get-together. Also provide barbecue grill and dinner for early requests.

This place was established in 2010. This place is the only place in Sri Lanka which treats the donkeys. The staff with very good and friendly. There few tamed friendly donkeys. There is a special white donkey here as well which is known to be the one and only "white" donkey found in Sri Lanka. These people have anther donkey therapeutic center at Murunkan where they allow the differently-able children (specially children with otistic spectrum disorders ) to play with tamed donkeys. According to them , those children have shown good response.

The must visit place if you are an animal lover ! Such a great initiative by an NGO named Bridging Lanka to protect the wounded donkeys in Mannar. The education session starts off with a 10 mins presentation and then the staff will take you to the site tour where you can have a great time in playing with baby donkeys !! They do have merchandise for sale which supports their mission.

Amazing place doing great work! Great educational experience for the kids and us! We learnt about the history and status of donkeys in SL and the world, petted and fed the donkeys, had a tour of the clinic, bbq pit, veg patch etc and learnt about the great work they are doing with the community, using donkeys in therapy with kids and raising awareness and changing the negative attitudes of the community towards donkeys. Great holistic approach!
