Sling Adventures

We stayed at this fabulous place of Tomorrowland in the highlands of Ella in early 2017. It was shortly after opening and we were attracted by the unique hammock tents suspended above the tea plantations. There are also regular tents out the back and also on the front porch. The most unique stay we had in Sri Lanka by far. The atmosphere is great, the staff are awesome and the dinner option served was amazing and convenient given it is out of town. A scooter is a good option to get out from Ella but a local bus runs quite often along Ella-Passara Rd. Check out our full report from our stay on the Sling Adventures website

This place was very different than other hostels in that you can stay in a tent for only 1500 Rs. It’s a bit out of the way of the city center which I really liked because it’s really quiet. The view is absolutely stunning as well, it’s perched up on the mountains, and maybe a 10 minute drive to the town of Ella, it is not a very long distance but the roads are a bit unmaintained, and tuk tuks are available as well. The whole place has a very psychedelic vibe, if you couldn’t guess from the name. The staff is very friendly as well. I wish I could stay longer, but I couldn’t.

The staff are who make this place. The people here are so friendly and welcoming. I stayed here for 4 days and it was extremely relaxing (as long as you don't have a tent inside. They play the music pretty late). This is by far the coolest hostel I've ever been to so swing through!

I've been coming back to this hostel for three times now. It's one of those places that you might not be sure of.. and then it steals your heart for ever. It's unbelievable how this place attracts the most beautiful people walking in every day. It even healed people walking out a bright light. It's high in the mountains of Ella in the tea fields, closer to the main attractions and hidden adventures. All the reason to escape the busy main street of Ella and find what this place has waiting for you. Love, friendship... family. The staff is so genuine and every night is different. Sometimes candle light guitar playing, sometimes watching GOT together on the projector, sometimes a party like nowhere you can have in Ella. Walk in alone and you''ll never be alone. This place has a place in my heart.

Amazing place for backpackers ! One of the best view in Ella, the owner Sana and the staff team are awesome, felt like home there. We met a lot of travelers and just spent a great time. You can either sleep in tent or in dorms, but the tent experience is worth it !

Absolutely out of this world. Beautiful green and mountainous location, super friendly staff, moped hire, great food, super chilled atmosphere, totally unique, good facilities. Just watch out for the mosquitoes and biting insects. Otherwise unforgettable experience. Definitely go back.

Sure the best place to be in Ella. I can't find the right words to explain, what an amazing time I had there. So many lovely people there and the beautiful landscape make this place very special. You really have to check that out.
