During dutch rule this was a Christian Church and later converted to a mosque.. but a nice place to visit and nice surrounding.

One of the most iconic masjids in Sri Lanka. Facing the lighthouse, this beautifully maintained whitewashed building is a highly unusual construction combining eclectic architectural features that include a dash of baroque, British Victorian and Islamic detailing. Its facade is more reminiscent of a Portuguese cathedral than a mosque. There's no general admission, but non-Muslims may be invited to enter if dressed appropriately. Inside there's a wonderful little mihrab, complete with small decorative domes, and some attractive floor tiling.
Beautiful evening azan and lovely Qirat of imam, calm place to pray
Nice place.
Beautiful and Old mosque. Visitors allowed inside with proper clothing. Its right in front of Galle Light House
Nice Masjid with refreshing sea breeze. Old tiles and architecture inside the old Galle forte location.
Located in best location. In this mosque only I saw birds (sparrow) flew independently. Inside the mosque is very cool coz constructed material. Ladies prayer arrangements ate renovating as I hope during our visit. Our children were denied go out due to very cool and calm environment.
Very unique style of a mosque. Very old but not authentic. Located near the sea and the breeze outside the mosque takes your souls away. Tourist area to be precise. A must visit if you are visiting Galle.
