A unique experience. Rooms were clean, air conditioned and well finished despite being a tree house. Washrooms were also very clean and high quality. Price was reasonable.

Simplistic beauty and tranquility among the leafy branches of a small forest of trees. Mutu Village named after Mrs. Mutu Cool-owner and wife of Mr. Ajith, sits at the highest level in terms of standards; in par with any five star hotel (Kandalama, Amaya Lake or Cinnamon Lodge, Hotel Sigiriya) in the area. Rooms were of very good quality and the tree houses built within the branches gave a great view to wake up to. It was well maintained even during the Covid pandemic. Though the surrounding areas were rural residential, the environment completely changed once we entered Muttu village threshold and we entered a cool, green world living in the heart of nature. Meals were prepared according to our tastes and were mainly based on Sri Lankan cuisine. Meals were for us very tasty and ideal; although we felt maybe some people may want a bit more expansive menue which would be a point to improve on. Everyone was really friendly and made us feel completely at home and it was a really pleasant and refreshing stay. According to the owner it is a 6 times winner of the Trip Advisor award since 2014. Very good place to wind down and relax. Well worth the visit. Ideal middle place to stay for people travelling to Trinco, Jaffna, Pollonnaruwa etc. Plan on returning again. A memorable experience. Beautiful and mesmerising location. Clean rooms and bathrooms. Foods are really delicious (thumbs-up for chef ️). Staff is friendly specially the owner is friendly and flexible. Highly recommended
