Chanaka Roshan

This modern shopping centre has a variety of clothes and fashion shops mixed in with several places to eat. Set over five floors, the size of the walking Passage is a great positive as this creates an excellent shopping experience. We visited during April 2021 in New Year season and were thrilled to see the huge and bright New Year decorations decked throughout the high ceilings and walls. The centrepiece tree was stunning. This is certainly the best of the shopping centres found in Kandy city.

If you aren't from Kandy, it's a bit of science to get to the car park, especially at night. Their food court is definitely one of the best in the country, and also above par taste and quality. Their gaming arena also is definitely one of the best, the VR zone is something all kids and adults would love. The parking arrangements and just navigating inside the building a bit annoying, and can feel claustrophobic, but there's a bunch of stores in there.

Every need under one roof mall. Nice food on the world spice restaurant in the rooftop. Ample parking. The best shopping mall in Kandy.

Health regulations are openly flouted. Although they made quite a show of maintaining health guidelines at the entrance, the taps to wash hands were placed too close together. When I pointed out to the security guard the shortcoming, he quite rudely pointed out that I am responsible for maintaining a distance of one metre or I should bring my own sanitizer. That’s not the way security personnel should talk to customers. Besides the point is when you have taps placed close together even if a certain customer wishes to maintain the recommended distance there’s nothing stopping others from getting too close.

The standard has dropped drastically. The condition of the ladies washroom is terrible. No hand-wash or soap to wash hands.Specially considering the COVID situation it is a must to keep it available. Cubicles flooded. They charge people to use it but no effort is put to keep it clean. Very sub par for a shopping mall. People who use it are to blame too because they wash legs inside cubicles. There is a notice asking not to do so, but it’s only in one language. Please make it available in all three languages.

A shopping Mall situated in Kandy city. One of the biggest shopping malls in Sri Lanka. A dedicated car park is situated beside. Many shops are available to buy clothes, sportswear, books and jewellery. Supermarkets, Banks and bakery shops are situated. A post office is also available.
