One of good place in kandy for gems and juweliers.This place has little good museum and a guide will explain everything about gem mining industry and you can even visit a 10 minutes video clip about how the process works.this part is free and finally they will bring you to their showroom.this place is mainly designed for foreign tourists and they sell the real genuine gem stones and other articles. some people had commented here saying it is expensive and over priced.yes gem stones are not like a plate of buriyani .it is expensive.those who actually use the gem stones can understand the real value. normally low qulity gem stones prices starting from 10-15 USD and it goes upto thousands.
