Very Nice and Calm place to visit and will visit again soon. Still some construction are in progress and can be a part as how much we can/ we want. There is enough Parking for car / vand and for Buses. Located an office outside the temple and can but various books for Buddhists. Even the main road is from Kundasale, its very much nice to proceed via Polgolla dam, if you come across Katugastota.

Mahamevnawa Monastery is situated at Kundasale area. You have to get off at the Warapitiya junction and then go about 1.5 km along the warapitiya road. This monastery is situated in a tranquil place which making a good place for religious activities. You can get advices from monks even for foreigners. You can buy dharma books at a outlet established inside the monastery.
