The Memorial of Sinhalese Child Hero "Madduma Bandara Ahalepola" , Second Son of the Count Ahalepola who Rioted against the King of Kandy who was a drunken and careless king. After king couldn't find the count ,he orders to Kill wife and daughter of the count by drowning in kandy tank ,and beheading sons of Ahalepola. When the Executor tries to kill elder son Loku vandara he frightens and cries seeing his fate. Madduma bandara who was a infant by the time rises and says the famous words " Elder brother don't worry. I will show you how to die as a hero " and keeps his throat in bench and orders the Executor to follow the orders given by king. Memorial is in front of Sri Dalada maligawa.
