Established in 2008, SLINTEC is a joint venture between the National Science Foundation of Sri Lanka and Sri Lankan corporate giants Brandix, Dialog, Hayleys, Camso Loadstar, MAS Holdings, Lankem, Browns Group and LOLC. SLINTEC was initiated as a private institution in a historic partnership between the government and the corporate sector of Sri Lanka to fill the much required gap for research & development within the country. Distinctive to SLINTEC is its strict policy of sustainability-centered innovation. Through various means, such as the application of a sustainability-filter upon all its projects, SLINTEC strives to create a no-unsustainable development environment.
