A great place to stay. Beautiful spot in front of whisky point and at just 10 minutes walk on the beach from Pottuvil point and few minutes of tuktuk from Arugam Bay and many others surf spots. Amazing eco-cabanas, super clean, friendly staff. Perfect place for a beach escape. Food is just amazing, with an Italian touch. Nicola, the owner, and Anna are very kind and available to help for any request. 100% suggest
Awesome place! Beautiful rooms on the beach, well cleaned in a beautiful setting right in front of the surf spot. The staff and the owner Nicola (always available for any need) are very friendly and accommodating. Looking at the sky at night from this place is a unique experience! Thank you all!
Wow! What can I say! Whisky Point Resort is amazing. Located right at the Whisky Point surf break, I could basically ride a fun righthand point break-wave to the shore, jump off my board and I’m standing in my front yard…how could it get any better. Then a quick wander through the tropical Coconut Trees swaying in the breeze and my Cabana was sitting there waiting for me. My room was one of the upstairs Cabana’s…beautifully designed large wooden bedroom, private but open to the daily cool breezes…with an ensuite attached. And the view! Awesome! Looking straight back over the ocean I’d just been surfing. Nicola the owner couldn't be more helpful, always friendly, full of advice on everything. He's done an awesome job creating this oasis on the Sri Lankan East Coast. From the Cabana it was a quick stroll under the Coconut Trees pass some of the greenest grass I’ve seen in Sri Lanka to the Restaurant…serving up some super tasty meals, my favourite being the Pumpkin Ravioli. Surfwise the break was perfect, plenty of fun for me to ride but also suitable for my wife…as there is a sheltered corner making it ideal for beginners. There is also an awesome open-aired yoga studio, and we were able to arrange onsite massages as well. The staff were friendly and helpful and made our stay a memorable one. This was everything we needed on our tropical surf filled getaway in Sri Lanka. Thanks to the guys/girls for making us feel right at home at Whisky Point Resort.

Beautiful beach just 10KMs north of Arugam Bay. You can have a great surf experience in this beach since it's less crowded. There are lifeguards and police patrolling 24/7. Therefore your safety is secured. Highly recommended for surf lovers.
Awesome beach. Best beach for surfing
Great beach. Waves are good - sadly it's windy almost everyday. Usually not to crowded. The beach is good for beginners and intermediate surfers - no rocks/reef under water and a nice wave to catch. I also recommend sunrise surfing. (July 2019)
