By far the best experience renting a car at an international destination. Europcar was more than warm in extenting all possible help at the time of arrival. A Special mention for Warren, the representative at Europcar Colombo for guiding us through the policies and procedures very well more over went an extra mile in helping us plan our itinerary for the trip. He also made sure we had a smooth handover at the time of checkout and were dropped at the airport on time. I have a special regard in my heart for people of Sri Lanka and will visit again. Recommended to all.
I hired a car for just over 2 weeks and the service is excellent. Especially Warren pereara took care from the time I inquired to the return of the car, brilliant. The process is no difference to UK/Europe, you get picked up at the airport and the vehicle can get collected at Seeduwa base (5-10 minutes drive, depends on time). All staff is so friendly and welcoming. I also recommend to 2 of my closest friends and they were looked after very well too. I'm planning my next trip to Sri Lanka in December and going to hire a car again. Once again thank you very much for the great hospitality and the support. Looking forward to see you in December.
This is the third time I have hired a car from them; they offer a fantastic service. From the start to end, Sampath and Warren both were fantastic, and always provide a very good customer service. Warren was so helpful at the time of handing over the car and around 11.30 pm he dropped us to the airport. A wonderful service, definitely recommend them for anyone.
Extremely amazing staffs and amazing value for money. Special mention to Warren a guy who was in touch with us all the time. Kavindu was very helpful while we were in the apartment. We rented a car for 8 days and a 15 seater bus for 3 days in August 2019. Services provided from the beginning till the end was excellent. Manager Warren was extremely helpful and friendly. The bus provided to us during the 3 day ride to Ella was in very good condition. Priyadarshana and his colleague Dixon who drove us around were one of the best drivers I have come across as they provided a very safe and comfortable ride. Thank you and looking forward to renting next time on the island.
It was such a convenient experience of having booked a vehicle with Europcar. We were taken good care of from the time we landed at the airport till tje time car was handed over to us at their office which is not too far away. Although the office opens later in the day, staff went out of the way to hand over the car early morning around 6AM after picking us up from the airport. They also took the responsibility of preparing the driver permit and other necessary documentation. Similar hospitality was shown while we requested a late drop off as our flight was 5am. The staff acknowledged our request and made themselves avaiable to takeover the car and also drop us at the airport.
RUINED. warren pereara failed to get back to me about endorsing my license, all I asked was a quick confirmation email that it was sorted and I could pick the car up on the Sunday. Out of frustration and being left in the dark I cancelled the booking. Well after cancelling I finally received an email from warren informing me he will charge me 50 euro for the license ( and his incompetence ) which I had no idea that had been endorsed. This really wrecked a big part of our holiday as we had to find and organise transport every where losing our independence on holiday which we ALLWAYS enjoy. I really cannot understand how Europcar employs warren as head of operations in Sri Lanka, he should be employed as a car cleaner instead. Thanks once again warren taking away our independence in beautiful Sri Lanka.
