It's our second time in Nuwara Eliya, srilanka has reopened for tourism 2.months ago but the number of foreigners is still very small, due to the travel restrictions and requirements. The Grand hotel is still Grand, the service impeccable, and their high tea still fabulous . I found it overpriced 3 years ago, but there is only 1 grand hotel in Nuwara Eliya, so 3600 LKR is 18 USD for 2, for a selection of pastries, small amuse bouches , fried dumplings, samosa little sandwiches, the whole set very well presented, with great Ceylon tea. The personnel is as friendly as ever so we spent a good 2 hours, the weather was cool without being cold, and if we come back a third time to Nuwara Eliya, we'll probably have high tea again.

Fantastic high tea experience! The food was more unusual and interesting than I've had in England. We tried three different types of tea, all lovely. Our waiter Anthony couldn't have been more friendly, funny and helpful, moving us to a better table, explaining and writing down the names of the teas. I would highly recommend if you're in the area.

Nice and comfortable place where to enjoy an afternoon tea. It’s called the high tea and it costs 1500 rup. It was nice, not superb but the tea was delicious! Staff are nice as well

Excellent experience, a must do while in Sri Lanka. Come dressed halfway decently to feel like you fit in. Great service and food.

Amazing different local and foreign teas. We tried different ones which were all really good. Also tea cocktails with or without alcohol, tea shakes and tea smoothies as well as an exclusive but affordable lunch in a sophisticated atmosphere. The staff is well educated about the different teas and has good ideas which ones could suit your taste.

Really nice chill place to read and relax and have a great cup of tea with a bit of dessert. The garden is wonderful. There are also couches inside the hotel lobby you can use.
