I travelled solo and learned to surf for the first time. I had a very pleasant stay and a good surfing experience. It has access to the beach right in front of the hotel. It's high value for money and the owner and staff are all friendly and ready to help with anything.

Fantastic days in Paradise! I'm so happy that I have spent my surf trip in Sri Lanka in this amazing camp The Surfer. I have experience from other places in the our beautiful world and I can say that here one of the best mix: high-top class instructors, lovely staff, perfect equipment, a lot of activities and, of course, great waves!!! I will come back for sure. Thank you to every person I've met here, I've already miss everyone, and have made special place for all of you in my heart and the biggest place - for Darling!)
Loved the stay, the location is perfect with a lovely beach in front. W15 being a simple 15min walk away is a huge plus side. Couldn’t have expected anymore. And a shout to Sameera for making our stay even more comfortable.

I had an unplanned trip to Weligama and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I made for myself. Giving me a great opportunity to rest and learn how to surf. The surfer is located right on the beach, the environment is calm and beautiful and the beach is not over crowded. Nice quiet paradise. The staff are all incredibly helpful and friendly - they all felt like family by the time I left. The instructors are incredibly helpful and made every lesson so much fun, I was able to overcome my own fears with the water and face them with confidence with their guidance and support and cheering me on. For anyone wanting to learn to surf this is the place - perfect conditions, beautiful surroundings and supportive staff every step of the way. For the more experienced surfer they take you to beautiful spots to surf bigger waves - one of my goals is to join that group the next time I visit! This place is paradise - I cant recommend it more! GO you wont regret it.

Great place to learn surfing and stay with cool fellow surfers. Most people here get surf packages for a week or more. The surf instructors are pretty cool, this is where I surfed for the first time...and now I’m in love. The rooftop area is a cool place to hang out, they show movies at night. Conversations with people sitting around you flows easily. People that are not staying here also come to hang out. The food in the rooftop restaurant is good...but it takes FOREVER to get it so order early if you have surf classes. The rooms are bare but clean, there is plenty of hot water but you won’t need it. My room had no AC but the ceiling fan is perfect and with the balcony door open at night it gets nice and cool. I would recommend this place.
