First done a snorkeling trip. We thought we wanted to go to Pigeon Island, but got good advice about another snorkel spot nearby, namely Coral Island. It was beautiful! Next day I did two dives at two very beautiful spots. The instructors are passionate about their profession and are very committed to you. It was great! I've nothing to complain about, I really recommend this diving centre!

We visited Trincomalee recently and were lucky enough to get a chance to dive with the crew at Negombo Diving Centre. The facilities were excellent and the instructor Abby was so helpful and understanding. We did four dives over two days and got to see amazing aquatic life. Big shout out to Shaun for running possibly the best dive centre in Trincomalee.

Best ever diving coaching This was my first ever dive experience and Instructors ensured I had the most safest and best experience. They were very attentive and made sure my experience was exceptional. I would highly recommend this place.

My friends recommended this dive school. I have no license yet, but I still was able to do three dives today. 2 normal ones in the morning, 1 in the evening. What can I say, it was amazing. Especially how Shan looked after me. I had a few issues with my ear in the beginning, but they helped me and because of that I had a great time. You can see the same places with every company, but these guys here will give you an even greater time! Would highly recommend

Me and a friend did two dives in Trincomalee earlier this month and found the gear to be pretty poor quality. The first reg I was given felt choked and was simply replaced with no explanation. They also didn't have a UK size 9 set of fins (surely a very common size) so we had to make do with larger ones and a set of boots. The DM was excited to be able to go to some deeper sites as we are AOW though we never had to prove this. When we arrived at the first dive site the boat was unable to anchor and so a weight belt was used instead. Once we got into the water my friend was unable to descend which we later found out was due to them switching belts around and using his one as an anchor. After wasting a decent amount of air we instead moved to another dive site and managed to find and resolve the problem of correct weights ourselves. The dives themselves were good, pretty poor visibility but no one can be blamed for that. We were charged 35 dollars per dive instead of the 25 the board outside the office stated as we were going to deeper dive sites. We were not offered the 10 discount that other reviewers have mentioned and felt a little ripped off as I'm not sure we actually went to the deeper dive sites due to the strong currents. On returning to the beach we passed a very full fishing boat and was given a fresh tuna for free which we then took to a restaurant to have cooked. Overall not bad but could certainly be better.

A local friend recommended Negombo Diving Centre and I had 6 lovely dives with Shan and Ali. They were responsible, helpful, and care about customer experience. I also when to the whale snorkeling but sadly didn’t manage to see any whales. Took 1 star off because the small boat for both whale watching and diving were quite uncomfortable especially when I spent 8hrs in one day on the ocean... but overall I would definitely recommend Negombo Diving Centre with reasonable price and friendly staffs:)

So here’s a little warning. The reason behind the excellently high rating of this diving centre is not an extraordinary service, but the fact that they give some customers a 10 discount if they write a positive review on google and tripadvisor. Other then the high rating suggests, this is really not the best diving centre in Uppuveli/Trincomalee. Our experience with them was below average. Some of the equipment was broken, the dives felt like a bit of a routine to them, the spots were not that great and the guys kept on pushing us to do more dives with them, even though we told them we weren’t planning on doing any more. Strong marketing/sales skills but the high rating isn’t well-earned if you ask me!
