What a place. You could experience the definition of the word 'tranquility' if you go to this place once. It's an old bungalow of a governor of VOC- Dutch(Vereenigde Oostindische Compagnie) which is now converted to a beautiful resort. Even though it's by the side of very busy Galle Road, when you go inside you won't feel like you are close to a main road. Bunch of bamboo keeps it cool all the time. One of the perfect places I would recommend for an outdoor wedding. Staff was very friendly. You could stay in the very room the governor used to stay and his bed is still there so you can sleep like a governor. Herbal garden is there so you can have a walk. The traditional look hasn't been damaged by the resort so that the furniture is still kept there as passed for ages. In the backyard, you find the herbal mountain which has a long history as well as a pond adjoining to the swimming pool. All in all, it's a perfect place for relaxation. Jungle Beach is not far away and if you exit from Pinnaduwa entrance of Southern Highway this place is not far away at all. Remember Nooit Gedacht means 'නොහිතු දෙයක්' in Sinhalese.

Food was excellent, if a little late. Service was good too. We booked a massage at the spa which was top-notch. Really friendly and helpful staff, gorgeous setting, room and amenities well worth the money: A/C, cable TV, tea/coffee items, mini fridge, etc.
Excellent atmosphere! Completely heritage package to feel! View is pleasant! Staff also very friendly and swift servicing. Special mention about the Hotel Manager! We highly recommend this place for your pleasant and fun-filled holiday! Enjoy!

A very lovely place to stay. 5-7 min walk to the beach. Beautiful territory, friendly staff. Swimming pool, small library. Nice breakfast. Would love to come back.

It is a great place to spend your holiday with your family. This is an old Dutch Bunglow with few new buildings. An ideal place for photoshoots ( Many old precious items like 'classic bullock cart, soldora, Bunglow entrance, etc ). We booked Standard Double rooms and Twin rooms. Rooms were spacious, beds were good, A/C was okay, Bathrooms were nice and clean. Got a little flat screen tv monitor with variety of channels. Coffee maker was there in everyroom. Only problen was wifi, it was limited to public area although we did recieved wifi signals at our rooms. :) Overall very satisfied. They have one baby pool and one normal pool; Deep is around 5ft. They clean it everyday. So had a great time enjoying. They have their own restaurant too and a Bar too. Welcome drink was given. They said they have buffet for dinner and breakfast. But, due to less no of visitors, for dinner we had to choose from a menu given. Food portion is more than enough. They actually can reduce the price and the portion size when the buffet is not available. Food was ok. For breakfast we had classic Sinhala buffet with some modified items which was delicious. Overall, food is good. Staff was very friendly and very helpful. Specially the manager. Close to all the beaches. Will take 10mins to jungle beach and Rumassala by car. And around 5-10mins to unawatuna beach. So, in my point of view, this is a great place to visit and You will get best value for money.
A very good place to have a good time away from the urban rush.. great ambience and environment filled with many surprises.. the management has given attention to detail.. very much worth price that is paid..
