It's a great place to spend some free time with family. The food and environment are excellent and can be had here at reasonable prices. Very good hospitality is maintained. Local as well as foreign tourists come here. Unawatuna is located a short distance from the beach and is adorned with a unique environment.

Surf Spirit is the best surf and yoga retreat I've been so far. It's such a warm and friendly place full of positive and relaxed vibes. The small group of max. 10 people soon feels like family. The surf is great, the yoga classes are inspiring, the massage relaxing. Together with the wonderful team, the amazing villa, the superb and healthy food and the breathtaking nature, Surf Spirit absolutely is a happy place you soon want to go back to.
Prior to my surf experience with surf spirit in Sri Lanka I was a frustrated intermediate surfer and had completely stagnated in my surfing development. I did lots of online research looking for a camp that could help to take my surfing to the next level. I couldn’t of been happier with my choice as these guys have helped to transform my surfing :) they have amazing surf guides and the waves are perfect for progressive surfing. The accommodation is stunning and the vibe is like no other camp I have experienced, so relaxed, welcoming but also super professional. The whole booking process was a dream and made my valuable weeks holiday run so smoothly. Special thanks to Nils and Dana these guys have set up an incredible camp. if You are looking for a cultural trip with colour, amazing waves ,weather and food then take my advice and book this camp now I’m booking my next visit ......
I have stayed two weeks at the beautiful Surf Spirit surf & yoga retreat and: it was great! I just loved everything about it. The people were superfriendly, the accommodation was nice, the food was yummy and most important: the surf lessons were fun and informative. I got a lot of good tips and useful feedback from my surf instructor Nils, who with his laidback attitude made me feel comfortable and not like a complete idiot on the board. The conditions at the spot suited my surf abilities. It was so nice to surf there with all the palm trees in the background, like paradise. I had a really good time there and can recommend Surf Spirit to anyone who wants to stay at a beautiful place, who wants to improve his or her surfing skills and who wants to have a good and relaxing time.
Surf Spirit was the best holiday of my life. You've got everything you need: awesome food, cool surf and yoga instructors, a cozy and relaxed place to stay. I really recommend a holiday at this place. The hosts are also amazing. They are super friendly and they help you with everything. The big range of different Surfspots is perfect for good surfers. You have good conditions for beginners and also awesome waves for advanced surfers. You can also go surfing or make party. Thank you surf spirit, iw ill definitely come back!
This has been one of my best weeks ever in my entire life! Sri Lanka is such a warm, safe, colorful and welcoming country and surf spirit retreat is simply its crown jewel. It's a gorgeous villa so close to the shore but still peacefully in land. The teaching and management team is amazing : young, cool, friendly, open, highly skilled. I had ko expectations about surf and Iearned so much in one week that I could tame medium to large and waves of the Indian Ocean (in a beginner beach). The food is mostly plentiful, tasty and healthy with loads of local fruit. I was terribly sad to leave this place, I still dream about it with closed and open eyes.
