Definitely the Best girls school in Colombo. It is an Anglican private school with a rich heritage which spans over a hundred years. The school applies a research based approach to teaching that recognises and develops each child's individual skills and talents. Apart from its excellent academic training, ladies college offers a wide range of extra curricular activities giving each child the opportunity to be multi skilled by the time they graduate.
The college has a large auditorium, but not as good as the bishops college auditorium. The chapel in school is also really nice. Parking is a bit of a problem for visitors but generally OK as the police understands and lets visitors to park on the road. Surroundings are quite nice. Note: This review is simply based on the places that I, as an outsider, went to when visiting certain events in ladies college.

Trust me, I've studied at two different schools. Both of which I am really happy and proud to have learnt in. But this is nothing like a school. It's more like Learn everything at home and then give credit to the school. Something the administration should really look into is the relationship between Students and teachers as it's almost nonexistent. And the way education is conducted in this school leaves alot of questions of whether it's even acceptable in the 21st Century since I'm sure even in 1980 schools taught alot more than how to do arts and crafts for 2 whole years and not even conduct a single examination till 4th grade.

Nice scenic school with its landscaped gardens and old buildings. It's hall is a popular venue for concerts due to its good acoustics.
